A woman named Hayden Howard went away for Easter weekend and returned home to her dog Jackson. Everything seemed normal until she noticed blemishes on her dog’s coat and thought they were bug bites. In reality? You’ll be shocked.
“He had some marks on him, and we thought they were bug bites and stuff,” Howard told WXIN in Indiana. “Well, then Saturday night I . . . started noticing holes on him.”
She knew she had to rush him to the vet right away, something wasn’t right and they certainly weren’t bug bites. The veterinarian began inspecting Jackson’s skin and started shaving off patches of fur.
The tiny holes all over Jackson’s skin were from BB’s and pellets. Howard was devastated and shocked at how many there were. Her poor dog had been shot at while in her backyard; she couldn’t understand it.
“They were just kind of looking at all the little holes and stuff, and the more they shaved him, they just kept finding more and more,” she said. “I was in shock. I didn’t even know what to think.”
